Creative eating and meeting space
With funding from a Near Neighbours grant, The Bureau will be holding three community FEASTs over the coming months, and the first one will be on this weekend for the Festival of Making in our outdoor creative dining area! Our ‘Feasts!’ are shared meals for the communities of Blackburn to come together, eat, talk and meet new people. Eat your freshly cooked meals, bring some home cooked dishes to share or just come and join us in conversation and fun.
Meet new neighbours, make new friends, find out about the people you share the town with, dress up in the photo-booth, join in with the fun and games at our outdoor eating area, hang out and listen to the sounds from our People’s Platform, or book a slot to play, sing, or perform! The world is full of friends you haven’t met yet!
The project will use food provided by Fareshare, a company licensed to safely distribute food discarded by supermarkets, highlighting issues around food waste and low income families managing budgets.
Join us on a journey of cooking & eating good tasty affordable food together. Delicious!
