MakerShed is a new competition for architecture and design students to create a small simple structure to house a making activities.

“Makerspaces are creative, DIY spaces where people can gather to create, invent, and learn. Shed Architecture is a colloquial term for a simple, small scale structure. The MakerShed brings these two concepts together.”

The project has been initiated by Placeshakers, in partnership with Capita, The Making Rooms and Festival of Making CIC.

MakerSheds has been sponsored by James Latham, Graham & BrownBarnfield Construction, Countrywide Properties and the Perspex® Brand.
