Folk inspired singer-songwriter Nicky Phillips will be performing an intimate set filled with story-telling through music.

She describes her music as ‘confessions wrapped in an indie-folk-pop style’. You can expect songs ranging in topics from love and life to grief and loss alongside a smattering of protest songs.

Her most recent album titled ‘River’ was written after the release of Dirty Business by Channel 4, exposing the damage to waterways following the privatisation of our water infrastructure.

Nicky’s clear voice will take you on a journey through melodies and words. Sit back and relax and let the sounds unfold around you.

About Nicky Phillips

Nicky Phillips’ beautiful, sincere vocals and organic melodies create an idyllic atmosphere.” – Tonic Grain

For Nicky Phillips, music is a thread that connects the memories and moments that she shares through her songs on both guitar and piano, weaving together indie, folk and pop. She uses it to craft touching melodies and rhythms that wrap around you like a warm blanket; her voice switches effortlessly between delicate and powerful, having been described as Sarah McLachlan meets Gabrielle Aplin by way of The Cranberries. Her lyrics, likewise, are intimate explorations of her thoughts and experiences fashioned from heartfelt confessions of love, self-doubt, gratitude and loss.

Nicky describes herself as a Londoner whose heart has found its home in the north of England. She has appeared at well-known venues across England and has previously supported Kate Nash in London.

Swiftly following her first single Echo in 2021, Nicky independently released her debut EP, leading to her music being featured on BBC Music Introducing. 2024 saw her first UK tour and she was featured as a headline act for Independent Venue Week in 2025. Her second EP has been announced for release in September 2026.
