No Waste Workshops for Kids!

A series of workshops aimed at your younger ones – come and find 3 creative making workshops that all use found objects and promote the message ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.’

Bottle Cap Workshop

A creative jewellery workshop, recycling drinks bottle caps.This workshop invites you to come and be inspired by Katie Duxbury’s bottle cap costume dress – made using thousands of recycled bottle caps. Come see this painstakingly crafted creation for yourself, and have a go at making your own piece of jewellery to take home!

Feed the Birds!

Join Sarah Hicks as she teaches you to make bird feeders for your garden from scrap/ recycled material

Chatterbox Origami

Shane Johnstone has been working in residency with Blackburn Youth Zone‘s young members to create a piece of public art and an art workshop in a series of creative sessions using wallpaper donated by Graham & Brown. Come along and create your own origami ‘Chatterbox’ to help you decide where to go next in the festival.

Myerscough College Flower Workshop

Check out the incredible flower dresses on show on the Best in Show stage and then visit the workshop to make your own flower head dress on Museum Street.
