We welcome people of all backgrounds to get involved, especially those who are:

  • Passionate about creativity and making
  • Connected to the local community
  • Interested in contributing time, energy, and expertise to the Festival’s development

Whether you’re a festival volunteer, artist, a local resident or simply someone with a keen interest in making, we’d love to hear from you. All we ask is that you are over the age of 18.

  • Up to six sessions a year with the steering group and the Festival Team
  • Opportunities to contribute to the Festival’s programming ideas

Whether you’re a volunteer, a Festival-goer, or a Blackburn resident, this is your chance to help shape our future collectively. Everyone is welcome, and no experience is needed.

Come along to our informal gathering to learn more about the steering group and explore how you can get involved.

In this first session, we will share our thoughts and ideas about the purpose of the steering group so you can understand if you’d like to be involved. By coming to this info session, there is no pressure to join the Steering Group going forward if you don’t think it’s for you.
