Traditional Leatherwork Taster Sessions with Diamond Awl

Diamond Awl Leather Workshop will be offering taster sessions in traditional leatherwork at the National Festival of Making.

Students will try their hand at traditional hand stitching and make either a card holder or sunglasses slip using high-quality vegetable tanned leather. Personalise your item with your own choice of thread colour and initials.

During the workshop, you will get the opportunity to learn some traditional leather skills, including hand stitching, bevelling, burnishing and embossing.
