Step into ‘Shaping Ideas’ and explore the possibilities of working with clay in this hands-on ceramics workshop and exhibition.

Hosted by The University of Lancashire’s MA Ceramics course in Preston, the space offers an opportunity to try the pottery wheel with guidance from experienced staff and students. Throughout the festival, current students will also be demonstrating their making processes, offering insight into how ideas develop through practice.

Alongside the workshop, an exhibition of work by current students and alumni will highlight the breadth of approaches within the course, from functional pieces to more experimental forms.

Whether you are new to ceramics, thinking about further study, or simply interested in the creative process, this event provides a welcoming insight into the subject and the MA Ceramics programme.
