Mush Studio invites you to explore pattern with them through the art of foil embossing.
Inspired by the vibrancy of South Asian adornment, you’ll design and create your own one-off hanging decoration. Begin by sketching your own motifs and patterns – don’t worry, there’s plenty of design templates for you to choose from if sketching is out of your comfort zone! You will then begin embossing directly onto your foil, transforming your sketches into a one-of-a-kind hanging decoration.
You are encouraged to experiment freely with pattern, line-work and texture, whether you lean towards the bold and abstract or the intricate and refined. To elevate your piece further, you’ll have the opportunity to embellish your design with colourful paint pens creating a truly unique and personal piece.
About Mush Studio
Kush and Manny are UK-based illustrators who use design to explore and reflect on their British Punjabi heritage and its influence on identity and self-expression. With a background in graphic design and illustration, their distinctive styles come together to host a range of creative workshops for clients such as V&A Museum, Dishoom, as well as community lead projects within schools and local museums.
