In this workshop, greenwoodworker Graeme Brown will show you how to use simple tools to create a beautiful set of handmade buttons using foraged wood.

Learning to use sharp tools safely opens up a wealth of craft activities, and no previous woodworking experience is needed.

This workshop will take place in Kitchen Tables, a space that celebrates our dining spaces as places of making.

About Graeme Brown

Graeme Brown is a greenwoodworker based in the north west of England. Using sustainably sourced green wood, he produces domestic items such as spoons and bowls and crafting tools such as lucets and heddles. He enjoys the unpredictability of using natural materials and being able to work anywhere without the use of power tools.

Graeme is always looking out for new things to try to make and learning new skills. He has recently started learning split hazel basketry. He also runs workshops where participants can take their first steps into woodcarving without any prior experience.
