Super Slow Way will join the festival with activity linking the town centre and Audley Community Park which they continue to develop alongside local residents into a welcoming green space.

Red canal boat moves along a waterway beside a brick wall and lush greenery, with two people on deck, one DJing.

Expect barge rides, bridge building and a host of creative workshops using natural materials.

Super Slow Way’s town centre activity for the Festival is supported by the Creative Alliance, funded through the Place Partnership.

The Super Slow Way

The Super Slow Way is an arts programme based in East Lancashire shaped by the local community working alongside artists.

Founded in 2015 as one of Arts Council England’s Creative People & Places projects, it supports people who have little or no experience of the traditionally subsidised arts sector to weave the fabric of a future cultural landscape in Pennine Lancashire along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal Corridor using its rich assets of environment, heritage, and community.
