The National Festival of Making provides opportunities for the media to witness, first-hand the value, expertise and social value of UK making, from internationally-renowned designers to multi-generational family manufacturers and artisan food producers. It is set at the heart of British manufacturing, the Northern Powerhouse of Blackburn, Lancashire, a significant share of the population is still employed in making.
