The Blackburn and Darwen Band boasts a rich history, having been established in 1840. Widely recognized as one of the premier music groups in the North West, the band excels in both live performances and competitions. In 1984, the Junior Band was established, and it is gratifying to note that many talented musicians have gone on to achieve successful careers. The age range of their performers is impressive, with the eldest being 18 and the youngest only 8 years old. Supported by several adults, they participate in a diverse range of local events throughout the year.
