Remember Me

Add you voice to ‘Remember me,’ in this artist led film piece that took shape at the first Festival of Making.

Artist Jamie Holman delivered, recorded and edited clips of almost 500 people over two days at last years festival as they implored the camera to “Remember Me.” Creating a poignant and heartwarming film as a memory of Blackburn’s community for future generations. Assisted by Blackburn College Art Students, this year he aims to add more 500 faces to the film, adding to the archive to make a work whose currency will change over time.

This participatory project began as part of Jamie Holman’s Art in Manufacturing residency at Roach Bridge Tissues Read More about Jamie’s Art in Manufacturing 2017 commission here.

“We can’t anticipate the future, but we can remember the past . I’ll continue to make this work as long as the festival lasts, and as long as it’s commissioned. The crew are art students who assist and contribute to the work, fully credited of course . I’m going for 1000 this year . All I ask is your name, and then ‘remember me.’ And you will be remembered.” JAMIE HOLMAN
