2025 Festival Dates: 5 & 6 July

Tell us about your hobby and join the loudest presentation of our quiet pastimes.

5th December 2023

Every day, millions of people set aside time for activities they love, as a way to express themselves and to be creative. Despite everything life throws at us, our hobbies can be empowering, a space where we make all the rules.

Working with Artangel, we want to hear from you about your hobbies; from the arty to the techy, the nerdy to the super niche! Launching next year, the National Festival of Making joins a network of galleries and museums across the UK on a new project to assemble the largest display to date of our favourite pastimes.

In collaboration with galleries and organisations across the UK, we are calling on people, from makers and modifiers to collectors and crafters, to share their creations in an ambitious celebration of everyday creativity.

For a chance to be a part of the project, complete the short form below and tell us a little about what you do in your spare time and why you love it!

Full details of the project will be announced soon, so watch this space.
