The Blackburn Festival of Light Street Band is a community drumming group performing a range of rhythm-led music inspired by Brazilian samba.

The band is made up of members aged 16 – 76 and welcomes everyone, from beginners to experienced musicians to join. Come and listen, dance and be inspired by local people making music together.

Performance times to be announced.

The Blackburn Festival of Light CIC is a community arts organisation focused on parades and light events with the aim of bringing communities together to create new, shared traditions for the town. Through their work they look to raise aspirations, build community and support local people to take part in activites together and make memories. As well as organising the annual Blackburn Festival of Light parade each year in December, they run workshops and a weekly community drumming group from the Bureau Centre for the Arts, based on Exchange Street in the heart of Blackburn.
