Chain Reaction Challenge with Jim Bond

The aim of this workshop is to create a series of structures, constructions, and objects which, when triggered, release their stored energy causing a chain reaction.

Using balloons, springs, ping pong balls, hinges, mousetraps and more, can you build a mechanism that keeps the momentum of the chain reaction going?

Perfect for ages 7+ and a great experience for the whole family.

Jim Bond is a sculptor specialising in dynamic kinetic structures which combine programmable electronic control systems with motors and electronics to breathe life into delicate structures and forms. From responsive blinking glass eyes and transforming optical shadow sculptures to rain collecting sound sculptures his work has been delighting and fascinating audiences at venues such as Kinetica Art Fair, Eureka, Light Night Leeds and LUX Helsinki. In January this year he exhibited at Kinetic Biennale Miami and in April his work was part of the Chaiya Arts Award exhibition at The Oxo Tower in London.
