2025 Festival Dates: 5 & 6 July

HELLO PETAL!

Get ready to flourish – Let’s Make Art are back!

Always guaranteed to deliver bold and BIG workshops at the National Festival of Making (think wearable paper dresses, paper bag helmets and Bauhaus-inspired costumes), Karen and Alice return with a workshop in Blackburn Library, inspired by this year’s Summer Reading Challenge ‘Story Garden’.

Can’t wait for the Festival?! In collaboration with Blackburn Library, the National Festival of Making and Let’s Make Art have curated a wonderful collection of activities, all presented in a beautifully handmade wooden cart to be placed in the town centre library. The activities will evolve throughout the year, with the first programme inspired by the high street and our heritage buildings.

The wooden activity cart was originally designed by Stilings Workshops with input and activities designed by Let’s Make Art, commissioned by Arnolfini in Bristol. We have worked with Jack and Let’s Make Art to develop a cart for Blackburn Central Library with new bespoke activity ideas!?
