Diamond Awl Leather Workshop returns to the National Festival of Making, offering taster sessions in traditional leatherwork.
Deeply passionate about supporting maker industries, Diamond Awl are known for their knowledge, skill and engaging workshops. Join them over the weekend and make a beautiful, handmade item to take away with you.
Students will try their hand at traditional hand stitching and make either a card holder or sunglasses slip using high-quality vegetable tanned leather. Personalise your item with your own choice of thread colour and initials.
During the workshop, you will get the opportunity to learn some traditional leather skills, including hand stitching, bevelling, burnishing and embossing.
Walk away with a new skill and your very own handmade item.
