2024 Festival Dates: 6 & 7 July

People’s Jury x Get It Done x National Festival of Making

Have you heard of Blackburn with Darwen’s People’s Jury on the Climate Change Crisis?

They are a group of 26 residents brought together by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council in 2022. Supported by Shared Futures, Jury members developed a set of recommendations in response to the question: What do we need to do in our homes, in business and our local area to help tackle the climate change crisis?

National Festival of Making are collaborating with the People’s Jury to develop a project inspired by and pushing forward their recommendations. Selected by the jury members, community arts organisation Get It Done are developing a brand new artistic commission.

Over the festival weekend, you can contribute to the project too! Grab some chalk and add to a growing collection of climate-friendly tips and tricks

Your contribution will help the next stage of the project develop as the team work on building a website and new artistic installation for the town centre.
