2025 Festival Dates: 5 & 6 July

The City as a Festival

Explore an exhibition of work from 1st Year students at The Leeds School of Architecture as part of their project ‘The City as a Festival, ‘ which explored the idea of festivals as key catalysts in sustaining culture and aiding the regeneration of towns and cities.

Tasked with designing a temporary meanwhile event space for the derelict – but much-loved – Tony’s Ballroom prior to its pending redevelopment, the space was intended to be used by visitors to the Festival of Making 2025, and have an intended afterlife post-festival within the town.
