Mikesian Studio invites visitors to take part in a creative (and delightfully abstract) poster workshop, exploring the places that hold personal meaning for them.
Participants will be encouraged to choose a location that resonates deeply and express it through a series of visual challenges, including collage, drawing, painting, and poetry. The workshop will contribute to a large-scale poster map made up of landmarks and locations imagined and designed by members of the public.
Mikesian Studio are a Design and Art duo from Manchester. With a background in large scale design agencies, they’re interested in taking the principles of branding and communication, and placing that into inclusive, accessible art formats. Their practice centres around words, graphic shapes & colour – with a focus on making bold public art that’s accessible for everyone.
