Experience an exciting selection of contemporary short films from Pakistan in this Sunday opening cinema screening.
Curated by Foundation Art Divvy in collaboration with young people from One Voice Blackburn, the programme brings together a diverse collection of films that offer fresh perspectives on contemporary life, identity, culture and creativity in Pakistan. Spanning a range of styles, voices and experiences.
Selected in partnership with young people from Blackburn’s One Voice community programme, the screening reflects a shared commitment to international dialogue and the power of storytelling to connect communities across borders.
Zahra Khan will introduce the films in person, providing insight into the selection process, the artists and filmmakers featured, and the wider context of contemporary creative practice in Pakistan.
This unique screening offers an opportunity to experience powerful and thought-provoking new voices in cinema while celebrating the cultural connections between Lancashire and Pakistan that continue to shape the identity of Blackburn today.
