Art in Manufacturing Season Three

Placing the heritage techniques, materials, products and expertise of a diverse range of manufacturing companies into the hands of five, specially-commissioned artists.

Each artist took up residency on the factory floor of busy factories and fabricators to create ambitious new works of art, telling the stories of manufacturing across Pennine Lancashire.

In 2019 five artists and five factories artists have been paired:

Daksha Patel with  Blackburn Yarn Dyers,

Anna Ray with Forbo Flooring

Dan Edwards with The Senator Group

Amy Pennington with Heritage Envelopes

Liz Wilson with Spiroflow

Working together to share skills and practices, artists told the stories of these factories through visual and creative contemporary art which could be found in unexpected spaces, indoors and outdoors at the festival.
